Combining an agile frame with aggressive geometry and efficient 29-inch tires, the SB140 is a jack-of-all-trades bike that does everything well. A 65-degree headtube angle paired with a 77. 5-degree seat tube angle makes for a bike that is confident in the steeps and climbs without a peep. At the heart of the SB140 is Yeti’s Switch Infinity suspension system, providing us with unrivaled suspension kinematics, high ant-squat characteristics, and a supportive and efficient ride. Size-specific- chainstays and seat tube angles allow us to get the same stable platform and efficient climbing position, no matter our size frame. Yeti took the SB130 and upgraded it, giving the SB140 10 millimeters more travel in the rear, a longer reach, a shorter seat tube, and a revised progression curve, providing us with a superbike that is more capable than ever. Yeti refined their progression curves for most of their bikes this year, giving the SB140 a more linear 14-percent progression for enhanced small bump sensitivity, a more supportive mid-stroke, and a final third of travel that features a sharp dip in its leverage ratio, becoming more progressive for a bottomless feel and better bottom-out resistance. All of this means that the SB140 allows us to ride harder while simultaneously being more efficient, supportive, and playful.
